ALLIETT, John Leo – Age 81 of Dresden passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Bluewater Health – CEE Site, Petrolia. Beloved husband of Charlotte Alliett for 44 years. Loving father of Linda Alliett, Peter (Jackie) Alliett. Cherished grandfather of Brandon, Nicole, Kyle, Rowan Salisbury, Sebastian Salisbury, Tatianna Salisbury, Xavier Smith and Jasper Smith. Survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his siblings Judith, Laura, Joseph, Prudence and Morris. John loved riding horses and a good western movie, he played hockey and baseball most of his life and played the guitar. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. John showed horse and enjoyed the rodeo. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Bluewater Health Hospital.

Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL CHAPELS, on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 12:00 until the time of the funeral service at 1:00pm.

  8. We were so sorry to hear of John’s passing. Bill and I were so glad that we had such a lovely visit with John and Charlotte at our house a while ago.

  9. Very sorry to hear the passing of John. We have a good memory of John when my husband came to ride a horse for his birthday. It is a great memory which will always be remembered.
