BOGAERT, Dennis Joseph Paul – Age 68 of Sombra, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Chatham Kent Health Alliance, Wallaceburg. Beloved husband and best friend of Laurie. Special father of Scott (Nicole) and Kyle (Monica). Proud grandpa of 4. Dear brother of Diane and Brian. Lovingly missed by all his friends, cousins, nieces and nephews. Missed by father in law Ross Bradshaw. Predeceased by his parents Elodie and Joseph.

Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME,BRIGDEN on Tuesday, February 23, 2021.   1. Our deepest condolences to Laurie and family. Julie and I were sad to hear of Dennis passing. We reflected on the good old days, when we would bowl weekly at the Courtright lanes and have many laughs, drinks and parties together. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

  5. Dennis and I spent our childhood years together on Otter Creek, so many memories. The last five years we would visit each other every month, drink a pot of coffee together and discuss life. So many great conversations and always lots of laughter, we could be silly and we could be serious. Until we meet again my friend. Thanks for the wonderful friendship.

  8. Dear Laurie, Scott and Kyle and families, when I was first married in 1974 and 1975, Dennis picked almost ALL of our tomatoes by himself. We grew 7 acres tomatoes for Dresden Canadian Canners. I was pregnant in 1974 and back to work in 1975. Plus Dennis worked somewhere else as well as pick our tomatoes. In those days you had to also carry out all your baskets so we could load them on the wagon at the end of the day. What a worker he was!!! And always with a smile on his face and no complaints. I am so sorry for your loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

  18. He was by far the greatest father in law I could have ever asked for. He would do anything for his family and he was very proud of his boys. He loved his wife unconditionally and he was such an amazing grandfather. He will forever be missed and loved. I will miss his stories and his jokes.   30. Laurie and the Boyz… Dave and I are so sorry to hear the news of Dennis’s death. We are so very glad that we all had a short visit on Sunday and know that Dennis did not want to linger long. But this was pretty darn fast… Glad he is not in pain, so glad of that. Our travels together as friends have meant a lot to both of us. Jamaica, Cruises, Atlantic City, and Mexico, We have all seen soooo much and enjoyed each others company. We certainly are lucky to have done all of this in all our prime years.
