CARPENTER, Russell William – Age 69 of Edy’s Mills, passed away with his loving family by his side on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia. Beloved husband of Orial (nee Oliver) Carpenter for 52 years. Loving father of Brian Carpenter and Shelley (Robert) Atwell. Cherished Grampy of Bradley, Lydia, Brett and Kylie Carpenter, Ryan and Allison Atwell. Dear brother of Marjorie Watterworth, Diane (Harold) Hull, Lorraine (late Pat) Russell, Kathy (Wayne) Wagner and Karen (Wayne) Crosby. Sadly missed by Marion (Ron) Thomson, Elaine (Jim) Newport, Randy (Darwin) Oliver and mother-in-law Violet (Dale) Oliver. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Dorothy (nee Hill) Carpenter and father-in-law Melvin Oliver.
At Russell’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service.
Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Dear Orial and Families
With heartfelt sympathy we connect our hearts to yours. Russell was too strong a force to not remain watching over you , I just know he will give you many signs he is still around you all . You will feel him in the warmth of the sun , the breeze across your face , the next joke you hear that you just know he would of chuckled at , the noise of a truck or tractor , the smells of his favourite things, the grandkids saying they saw him in their dreams, the smells of campfires, and wood stoves . I can only imagine all the ways he will do his darnedest to stay connected and keep watching over you all .
He touched so many lives and I just feel he left a treasure chest of wonderful memories for all his family , children and friends . We celebrate his life and all he shared .
May you turn into your hearts for there he will always be.

So sorry to hear about Russell. Our deepest condolences, he will be sadly missed. The kids were just talking the other day how they wished Russell and Oriel were still their bus drivers! Thinking of you and your family.

To the Carpenter family I express my condolence. Russell and I enjoyed riding his grandfathers’ two work horses many times as young men living in Oil Springs. I know he will be missed.

We are so sad to hear of Russell’s passing. He had a wonderful sense of humour and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
