Jackman, Gordon Michael

August 27, 1957 ~ December 12, 2023

JACKMAN, Gordon Michael – Age 66, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after fighting a long, hard battle on December 12, 2023 at Bear Creek Terrace, Petrolia. Beloved husband and best friend of Rhonda (Campbell). Loving father of Adam and Danica Jackman. Cherished grandfather of Issac Baldwin, Noah Baldwin, Peighton Jackman, Lucas Jackman and Oliver Johnston. Adored brother of Karyn (Don) Moorehouse and Ruth (George) Stallard. Predeceased by his parents Ruth and Gordon Jackman, sister Kathy (Lyle) Trenholm and brother Bob (Jayne) Jackman. Survived by his nieces and nephews, Brad (Belinda) Moorhouse, Craig (Pam) Moorhouse, Jennifer (Rob) Scollard, Jim (Chantal) Trenholm, Angie (Paul) Brock, Jason (Fran) Jackman, Michael (Stacey) Babcock and several great nieces and nephews. Gord was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, chief problem solver and master handyman. He loved camping with his wife and grandkids. Gord was a lifetime optimist member. Gord could never sit idle, so you could always find him bringing his latest project to life either at the farm or up north at the hunt camp. Heckling his caregivers was a favourite pastime. His last few days were a constant stream of well wishing healthcare providers. Gord always had a mischievous grin and low chuckle, a sly wink and a big, full belly laugh. You couldn’t go anywhere with him and not run into a friend of his who would lose track of time chatting about his grandkids, his latest princess auto find or auction purchase. Collector of all the things. If you needed to borrow a tool, he likely had several of whatever you needed. Raised in Thamesville, Ontario. The baby of 5 children.
