October 13, 1959 ~ September 10, 2021

LONG, David Leslie – Age 61 of Dresden, passed away suddenly on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance – Wallaceburg Campus. Loving son of Rosalee (nee Wray) and the late Leslie Long (2009). Dear brother of Bill Long, Ruth (Tom) Mackesy and the late Wray Long (2013). Cherished uncle of Ethan, Michael, Trevor and Kevin Long. Great uncle of Jacob Long. Dear nephew of Glen (Marie) Scott, Arthur Long and Sharon Long.

David grew up on the family farm on Petrolia Line. He started as a long-haul trucker for Dunlop Trucking and worked for many other trucking companies throughout his career. He was a member of the Executive at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 216, Petrolia and the Moose Lodge, Sarnia. He will be missed by his cats Storm and Mouthpiece. David was a big fan of the Toronto Blue Jays.

A private funeral service will be held at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL CHAPELS, Brigden on Friday, September 17, 2021. Due to Provincial COVID-19 restrictions, those who attend must wear a mask and maintain social distancing. Interment to follow at Bear Creek Cemetery.
